About us

Our story

We met in Blue Origin's innovation lab where we were working on the next generation of deep tech and space technology. After Blue Origin we went our separate ways, Thomas going on to work on frontier AI model development and teach AI at Harvard Business School, Michael launching a SaaS company that ran entirely with AI agents as the employees.

We both realized just how impactful AI could be for small teams when applied correctly, so we started Gold Star. Since then we've worked with dozens of companies across real estate, healthcare, tech, media, local SMBs, agencies, deep tech companies, solopreneurs, and more.

We both now teach classes on AI Agents at Harvard Business School and work with many of the cutting edge AI and deep tech companies.

Our mission is to build AI that's actually useful, not implement AI for the sake of implementing AI. That spectrum ranges from building a suite of AI agents around a human to handle all the execution across an entire business, to a simple AI system that eliminates a tedious task that used to take 5 hours per week.
